About Registration
2027 Online Registration Is Open.
Our annual conference brings together researchers, educators, practitioners, students, community partners, and others who are committed to advancing the field of aging. We offer a variety of registration options to make the conference accessible to members and non-members, as well as students, retirees, caregivers, and one-day attendees.
Registration Options
Membership Registration Rates
- SGS members receive discounted conference registration as one of the many benefits of SGS membership.
- Membership status will be verified after registration. If you select an SGS member registration rate and your membership is not active, you will be contacted and asked to either join or renew your SGS membership or pay the difference between the member and non-member registration rate.
- SGS Organizational Members can send up to 3 individuals at the membership rate.

Additional Discounts
- SGS offers discounted early-bird rates for in-person registration through 11:59 p.m. CT on March 5, 2027.
- Agencies or organizations sending 5+ attendees qualify for a 10% conference discount. To receive your discount, please email admin@southerngerontologicalsociety.org for instructions. Please do not complete the registration until you have received further instructions.

Zeffy Checkout Notice
SGS uses Zeffy, a fee-free fundraising and registration platform designed for nonprofits. During checkout, Zeffy may suggest an optional contribution to support its platform. This contribution is completely optional and is not part of your SGS conference registration fee. If you do not wish to make a contribution to Zeffy, select “Other” when prompted and enter $0. Your conference registration will remain the same price. Zeffy's optional contribution supports the platform and is not a donation to SGS.
Virtual Conference
For those who are unable to attend the conference in person, our virtual attendee option provides a convenient way to participate from wherever you are. Virtual attendees will have access to livestreamed keynote sessions and select breakouts, opportunities to engage through questions and interactive components, and digital conference materials. Following the conference, attendees will also have access to on-demand recordings of available sessions. This option allows you to stay connected to the SGS community and engage with conference content even when attending in person isn’t possible.
