Suicide among older adults represents a hidden crisis, an unspoken epidemic silently claiming lives within this demographic. The mortality rates within this age group are distressingly elevated, standing among the highest across all age cohorts. Recognizing the urgency of this matter, everyone must acknowledge and confront this pressing issue. As a dedicated advocate for change, my purpose in hosting this webinar is to stimulate every attendee into action. I seek to empower individuals to actively participate in a collaborative endeavor aimed at reducing the risk of older adults succumbing to suicide. Together, we can address this hidden tragedy and work towards a future where the well-being of older adults is prioritized and safeguarded.
